Ban types, in plain words

The word on the screen decides the next tap. Match your notice here, then open the guide. The long list of articles is on guides. Country notes are on locations. Start a case on the contact page.

  • Disabled

The account is offline. You see a notice when you try to log in.

  • Suspended

A login notice that the account is suspended, with a button to disagree.

  • 180 days to disagree

The countdown on the notice. It is the window to appeal, not a wait.

  • Permanently disabled

The notice uses the word permanently. Screenshot the exact line.

  • Locked

A hold until you confirm you are the owner. Not the same as a disable.

  • Checkpoint

Facebook's hold on a login until you confirm the profile.

  • Under review

A check or appeal that is already open.

  • Shadowban

You can still log in, and reach feels limited. Not a disable notice.

  • Community guidelines

The notice names community guidelines. Appeal that label.

  • Terms violation

The notice cites the terms of use.

  • Copyright strike

A claim that a post uses someone else's work.

  • IP disable

The whole account is offline after intellectual-property claims.

  • Impersonation

Either a fake profile to report, or your account disabled for pretending to be someone.

  • Spam suspension

The notice says the activity looked like spam.

  • Age check

A birthday, ID, or selfie check, or a disable that names age.

  • 2FA

A code you cannot get, or a disable notice sitting behind that code.

  • Hacked

Someone else changed the email, password, or username.

  • Business Page

The Facebook Page is restricted, unpublished, or banned.

  • Ad account

Ads are disabled. The personal profile can still log in.

  • Marketplace

    Selling on Marketplace is blocked.

  • WhatsApp ban

The ban screen inside WhatsApp, separate from an Instagram notice.

  • Threads

Tied to the Instagram account. Check that login first.

  • Meta Verified

Meta's own subscription. Not UnbanPro, and not a replacement for the notice.

Questions

What is the difference between disabled and suspended?

Both take the profile offline and show a notice at login. Suspended screens include a countdown. Disabled screens use the disabled wording. Appeal from the button on the screen you have. The side-by-side is on the suspended versus disabled guide.

Is a shadowban a ban?

No. A shadowban is the name people use when you can still log in. A ban is a disable or suspension notice.

Do I send my password with the screenshot?

No. We never ask for your password. The username and the notice are enough to start.
