Facebook account disabled

Short answer. Log in to Facebook and read whether the screen says suspended or disabled. Screenshot it. If it is a suspension, appeal from the prompt on that login. Facebook's help page says you can appeal a suspension within 180 days. Send UnbanPro the name on the account and the screenshot if you want the appeal filed for you.

A Facebook account disabled at login is a specific screen. Facebook’s help page splits that screen into two words, and the word changes what you do next. Read yours before you follow advice written for the other one. If a hacker is in the profile, use the Facebook hacked account recovery page. If only the ads are down, use Facebook ad account disabled. Start a case on the contact page when you want the appeal filed.

People search “facebook account disabled” for both. This guide uses Facebook’s own split, then the practical steps.

Suspended and disabled, in Facebook’s words

Facebook’s help page on suspended or disabled personal accounts says they can suspend an account when activity on it does not follow Community Standards. You are told in an email, and you see it at login. The lines people see are “We suspended your account” and “We disabled your account.”

On a suspension, that same page says you can appeal within 180 days by logging in. The login prompts you to appeal. The time period can vary by region, so the prompt in front of you is the one to follow. Screenshot the day count if it is printed.

The same page says that if you do not appeal within 180 days, or the appeal does not succeed, Facebook permanently disables the account. It also says you will not be able to request another review of that decision. That is their published rule. The useful move is to appeal from the prompt while it is on the screen, with a clear note and any identity check they ask for.

If your screen already says the account is permanently disabled and offers no appeal, save that wording. Do not burn the afternoon clicking stale form links from old videos. Send us the screenshot. We read the exact sentence.

The countdown itself is covered in the 180 days guide, including how the same number shows up on Instagram.

Appeal from the login, not from a Page setting

Use a browser at facebook.com, on a computer or phone you have used for this profile before. Log in. Let the notice load fully. Screenshot it, including anything below the fold.

Use the appeal prompt on that page. Confirm the email or phone. Complete a selfie or ID check if Facebook asks for one. Those checks belong to the person who owns the profile. Type any code yourself. We never want the password or the code.

If there is a text field, write a short note:

  • The name on the Facebook account.
  • The date you saw the notice.
  • Whether the profile is personal, or the person who runs a Page.
  • That you want this decision reviewed.
  • Any post or policy the notice named. If it named none, say that.

Submit the appeal once. Then watch the email on the account, including spam. Facebook’s notice also arrives by email. Keep that message with the screenshots.

Profile, Page, and ad account are three different locks

A personal profile, a Page, and an ad account each have their own status. People lose time fixing the wrong one.

  • Personal profile. This is the login that says suspended or disabled. Appeal it from that login. Pages you manage go quiet when you cannot enter the profile that admin them.
  • Page. If you can still log in to your profile, the Page has its own status in the professional tools. A Page restriction is not the same screen as “We disabled your account” on the profile.
  • Ad account. Meta Business Support Home is where a restricted ad account is handled, and the person requesting a review needs to be an admin. An ad account disable is not fixed by appealing a personal profile you can still use, and a personal profile disable is not fixed only inside Ads Manager.

Write down which of the three you can open. If the personal profile is the one with the notice, start there. The Page and the ads come back into reach when that profile is back.

Check Instagram if the accounts are linked

A Facebook profile and an Instagram profile can sit in the same Accounts Center. Disabling one does not always print the same sentence on the other. Open Instagram and see whether it shows its own disabled or suspended notice.

If Instagram has a notice, screenshot it and follow the disabled Instagram guide. If both apps are blocked, the Meta account guide helps you label which login is which before you appeal.

Do not assume a single button covers both. Appeal each notice that has a button.

What to send if you want us to file it

UnbanPro files Facebook and Instagram appeals through Meta’s own official channels. The review of your notice is free. It takes a few days. 100% refund if we can’t get your account back.

Send:

  • The name on the Facebook profile, and the Instagram username if that app is blocked too.
  • A screenshot that shows “We suspended your account” or “We disabled your account.”
  • The email on the account, so we know where Meta will write. Not the password.

How it works spells out those three steps. The home page is the overview. The contact page is the email form if you prefer that to WhatsApp. Say “Facebook” in the first line so the case is filed against the right notice.

We are not affiliated with Meta, and we are not Meta Verified. Anyone who asks you for a Facebook password is not us and is not Facebook support.

Questions

What is the difference between a disabled and a suspended Facebook account?

Facebook's help page treats a suspension as the stage you can appeal from the login screen, within 180 days. It says that if you do not appeal in that window, or the appeal does not succeed, the account is permanently disabled and you cannot request another review.

How do I appeal a disabled Facebook account?

Log in at facebook.com. If the screen still offers an appeal, use it and finish every check. If the screen says the account is permanently disabled and shows no appeal, send us the exact wording and the screenshot.

Will a disabled Facebook account turn off my Page and my Instagram?

A Page and an ad account depend on the profile that manages them. Check Instagram on its own, because a linked Instagram profile can show a separate notice. Screenshot each one.

Can you help with a Facebook account that is disabled?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the name on the profile and a screenshot of the notice. We file through Meta's official channels. We never ask for the password. It takes a few days.
